BACK FOR A SECOND YEAR…
This March, we’ll be hosting two regional competitions in search of the best up-and-coming industry talent. Level 2 and 3 Carpentry & Joinery learners and apprentices, from colleges nationwide will compete in a live practical project for the chance to win a place to go through to the Grand Final.
Learners must be 25 years or younger at the time of entry.
Participants who have previously reached the BTX Carpentry & Joinery Learner of the Year Grand Final are not eligible to enter the competition again.
Regional Heats
Grand Final
The top three competitors from each region will secure a place in the Grand Final in April.
This competition is designed to inspire the next generation of Carpentry & Joinery professionals, encourage creativity, develop skills and build confidence within the industry.
There are fantastic prizes up for grabs, and every competitor will receive a certificate recognising their achievement in taking part.

Please note that only one participant can be entered per college or campus until 31st October. After this date, colleges are able to put forward an additional participant on a first-come, first-served basis.
